Supported File Formats
Differencia currently imports most "flat file" formats, e.g., Comma or Tab Separated Values. It can compare data from any application that can export to such a flat file format. Excel & Numbers spreadsheets can be used via an easy, reliable export to CSV. Please let us know what additional formats you would like added.
Supported Formats
- Comma Separated Values (CSV)
- Tab Separated Values (TSV)
- Whitespace Separated Value (SSV, TXT)
- Fixed Width Format Files
- QuickBooks Import/Export Format (IIF)
- Any flat file which has:
- Records separated by a newline character
- Each field separated by a common sequence of characters
- The same number of fields for each record
- Fields in the same order in each record
File Extensions
Files must have one of:
- a file extension of "csv", "tsv", "txt", "text", "ttro", "utxt", "utf8" or "ut16"
- a Mac OS File Type of "TEXT".
