Reviewing File Layouts

When opening a file with a format that Differencia has not encountered before, you should review the Layout to ensure that Differencia has identified the layout correctly.

To Review a File Layout:

  1. Choose File > Open and select an example file
  2. If you are in the Set-up view, Click on the Edit button next to the file you have just chosen
  3. Review the Layout Details in the panel on the right
  4. Click in the first column in the main table to see the details for the first field in the right hand panel
  5. Click on each column in the table in successions and review the field details for each one. To specify the format for data/time and numeric fields, see Specifying Data Formats.
