Specifying Data Formats
Date/Time and Numeric data formats are specified in Differencia using Unicode Technical Standard #35. This is also known as "10.4 Formatter Behaviour".
Differencia relies on underlying technologies within Mac OS X for handling data formats. As a result, behaviour under Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) and Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) will be slightly different. Specifically there are some formats supported under Leopard that are unavailable under Tiger.
The following links are to the specific versions of the Unicode standard used for Leopard and Tiger respectively:

Specific differences between Tiger and Leopard
Under Leopard, the following Date formats are available, which cannot be used under Tiger:
- "Q", "q" - For specifying quarters
- "L", "c" - For specifying Stand Alone Months and Days of the Week
- "v" - For specifying short format Time Zones
Excel Date/Time Formats
Differencia extends the Unicode Technical Standard, adding the "x" and "X" formats for specifying Excel date/time formats. For more information, see Handling Excel Date & Time Formats
