Ars Technica Job Board

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Ars Technica, the must read tech website has added a jobs board. Ars has a technically strong readership. Therefore their job board should be a useful resource for software businesses looking for high calibre staff. Ars always has great coverage of what is going on in the Mac and wider Apple world, so the new jobs board should be of particular interest to Mac software businesses.

Stephen Fry on Smart Phones

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Stephen Fry has started a blog and picks smart phones as his first topic. Stephen Fry is a gadget freak, who knew? Devices And Desires

Wow, and I thought that I wrote long winded, rambling blog entries! I’ve got a lot of respect for Stephen Fry. As well as thoroughly enjoying his comedy and drama acting, I love QI, the nerdy quiz show he now hosts. Most importantly, I learnt from him, the pointlessness of trying to hold onto a concept such as “the Queen’s English”. He pointed out on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, that language had always evolved. Therefore there is nothing to be gained by trying to fix some arbitrary social group, with a point in time, from which to declare that this is the “correct” way to speak the English language.
